He’s served on the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services Administrative Regulatory Relief Committee, and was involved in writing important patients’ rights regulations for New York State. He’s also served as the provider co-chair for the OASAS Smart Records Committee which creates and implements documents designed to keep therapy patients engaged in treatment as well as make sure psychotherapists adhere to treatment protocols. Since 2008 he has served on the Ethics Committee for the New York State Mental Health Counselors Association. Additionally he is the regulatory compliance officer and director of an addiction and mental health treatment program in New York City.
